Game Rules

Blackjack Multihand is identical to Single-Player Blackjack, except that player can bet on up-to three hands and play them all independently, one after another. In Blackjack Multihand, you and the dealer are dealt two cards to start in up to three different positions at the Blackjack table.

The objective is to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer's cards, without going over 21.

Cards are worth their face value with the exception of Kings, Queens, and Jacks which are each worth 10 and Aces (worth either 1 or 11). If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer you win. If the value of the dealer's hand is higher than yours you lose. If the hands are of equal value the deal is a push and your money is returned.

If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts. This process is repeated on all respective hands.

Placing a Bet

First you select the chip to place (1, 5, 25 or 100 dollar chip).  Next, click on the bet spot you want to play, every time you click on the spot one chip will be added.  The three bet spots can be played at the same time but every spot has its own bet you need to place first.  You can change the selected chip to adjust your bet any time before dealing.

Chips are ordered from the one with the higher value to the lower one. After a game is completed there are two more options for placing bets: “CLEAR” and “REBET”.  The CLEAR option removes all the bets placed on the table layout.  The REBET start a new game with the same bets you did the game before. To remove a chip, press shift key along with left click on the spot where your bet is placed and the chip on top will be removed.  You can do this for every chip you got on the betting spot.

Playing the Game

Click on the "DEAL" button to start the game. Two cards are dealt to each spot you placed a bet and two more to the dealer.  The dealer's second card is dealt face up.  The player cannot remove their bet after the "DEAL” button has been pressed.  Each player hand is played as a single blackjack hand, starting from right most player hand.  If the dealer has a Blackjack on its hand the game is over. The player must play each hand that is not equal to a Blackjack.  The player can do any of the following actions depending on the player and dealer’s cards:

  • HIT: The players are given the opportunity to improve their hands by taking additional cards. To do so the player clicks on the "HIT" button. A player may hit as many times as desired, as long as the total count of the hand does not exceed 21.
  • STAND: When a player is satisfied with it’s hand, he must hit the "STAND" button (take no more cards).
  • DOUBLE: With two cards in any given hand, the player can select “DOUBLE” option, which is to increase the bet by the original wager, and may take one card only.
  • SPLIT: split the initial two-card hand into two, and play them separately - allowed only when the two first cards are of equal value.

Players may split cards only once and play each hand out for the same bet per hand.   If the dealer's face up card is an Ace, the players will be given the opportunity to take "INSURANCE".  An insurance bet is a wager claiming that the dealer does in fact have a blackjack. Every hand the player has will be asked for INSURANCE. After that, the result of the insurances will be shown.  After the game is completed you can press “REBET” button start a new game betting the same amount of money. Or you can press “CLEAR” to select new bets.
